Book Corner - Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Being in the mood for some mindless reading and hearing all the good buzz about the series, I've joined the following and am reading TWILIGHT by Stephanie Meyer.

I'm borrowing the book from my youngest sis/mom. Mom bought the book for Kelsey, I think. Kelsey read it with a quickness and loved it. Mom read it after that, and has since finished the other three books in the series also. Mom really enjoyed them, so she passed the book over to me. I've heard about this series from everyone. From my cousin on Kelly's side of the family in Canada, to my immediate family, to friends all over, whenever you bring up the book someone else says, "Oh, I loved those".

My inquire about it sort of started because of the above mentioned McGugan Canadian cousin. Megan got the books for her birthday some months ago, and my hubby asked her about it. This inquiry led to Kelly and I renting the movie, Twilight. I enjoyed it and thus followed up about the books with those that mentioned them.

So far, I'm glad that I've picked the book up. I'm really enjoying the 196 pages I've read so far, only 302 more to go. I'm intrigued by the dynamics Meyer has created within the relationship of Edward, the vampire, and Bella. Plus I find it very easy to read.

"About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thristed for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with him."

I'm now 368 pages in and loving it still. I have a feeling I'll finish the book tonight. :)
