$3 Date Night

So the hubby and I have now been able to take advantage of some "cheap" but fully eventful date nights as of late. These are the greatest! Lots of fun and minimal to no cost!

The first occurred a couple week ago when we went out for $12.00 total. We went downtown, had dinner (both of ate, and did NOT split a meal), and went to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Orpheum. Yup. $9 for dinner - thanks to a great buy one get one free coupon for South Philly + $3 for downtown parking. Orpheum tickets were a gift from a coworker that has season tickets and could not attend. NICE!

And again last night - Monday night - we had a $3.00 date night. Oh yeah! Another night downtown, Redbirds baseball game, dinner, drinks, and parking, all for a grand total of $3.00. Nice!

How? You might ask... well, along with a couple other coworkers Monday night, we were blessed to gain a couple tickets from work to socialize and be able to enjoy the Fed Ex Suite for the game. All thanks to my companies FedEx rep. It was fabulous.

Free food - hamburgers, 7 layer bean dip, hot dogs, ice cream sundaes, cookies, brownies, etc. Free drinks - all sorts of sodas, wine, and beer. Free Redbirds tickets - vs. the Reno Aces.

Now that's my kind of date night! We had a really good time.

Below is a good shot I caught (I took a few, he he) of our friends, Laura & Jay. They enjoyed the same "fits well in the budget" date night. We really enjoyed hanging with them!

The National Anthem was sang by 3 guys - like a quartet sound but with only 3 folks. he he. It was good.
