It's Fungus!

So we made our way to the Destin area of Florida yesterday, ready to relax, visit some family, read the last book of the Twilight series, and catch some rays. We made it into town about 8pm last night, grabbed a bite to eat and jumped right into visiting with my rents, and my fabulous aunt and uncle.

This morning, the hubby and I woke from the pull-out couch (so thankful for a free place to stay!!!) and found the condo empty, as the rest of the fam was partaking in an early tee time. We relaxingly got ourselves together and headed to the pool ready to read, listen to music, and enjoy the sun on our skin. As we arrived to the pool, we quickly realized that the sun was nowhere in sight and by judging the cloud coverage and color of the sky, we knew the sun was probably not a good thing to bet on the rest of the day. Nevertheless, unhindered, we stretched out on the pool chairs and enjoyed the cool Florida air while taking in the books we brought to pass the time. After about two hours of hangout time, our growling tummies encouraged us to take take a different route. We found ourselves at my hubby's happy place just in time before the sky opened up and the rain poured out.

The rest of our rainy afternoon (which the fam believes we brought with us) was spent reading, shopping, and hanging out with one another. We finished the evening with a great shrimp boil by my hubby to commemorate our last year trip to this same condo with friends. Yum, Yum! Now with our tummies filled, it's just a matter of time before we put ourselves to bed.

Hoping for some sun tomorrow, but the forecast does not seem too positive. However, we're on vacation! We'll make the best of whatever weather we get tomorrow, looking forward to another day!

In other news, the "best" conversation of the day consists in these quick lines below:

My Hubby - "Don't any of you like mushrooms??? What's wrong with you guys?!!"

My Mom (his mother in law) - "No! It's a fungus!!!"
